Seek God Like Never Before

There is an urgency within the Body of Christ to seek God like never before.

Have you recently taken a leap of faith to find yourself at a crossroads following that decision? This is your reminder that God did not leave you; He just wants you to keep seeking.

Matthew 6:33 instructs us to “seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”

Pay close attention to the amplified version of this verse:

But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also (Matthew 6:33).

It’s Not a One-Time Occurrence

I am confident that everything you need is found in the place of prayer and reading the Word of God. However, we have to commit to doing this every single day. You may not hear an audible or immediate response when seeking the Lord, but you have to know that God is making moves on your behalf.

Some may say, “Well, I don’t know what to pray for.” My response: ask the Lord to fill you with His Spirit so you can pray according to His will.

Here are a few helpful scriptures:

“And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will” (Romans 8:26-27).

“And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart” (Jeremiah 29:13).

“And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him” (Hebrews 11:6).
